Start here: the three things most people use
- HomeYour week at a glance — this Sunday's message, your groups, and what is coming up.
- AnnouncementsNews from the church. This is the fastest way to keep up.
- MessagesPrivate conversations with people you have connected with.
Everything else is optional. You will not miss anything important if you only ever use these three.
How do I get around?
On a computer: the list down the left side is the menu. Click any word to go there.
On a phone: the buttons along the bottom are the menu. Tap More for the full list.
You can always get back by tapping Home. Nothing you tap will delete anything.
How do I add my photo?
Go to Settings & profile. At the top you will see a circle with your initial in it.
- Tap Upload photo.
- Choose a picture from your device.
- Drag the picture to centre your face, and use the slider to zoom.
- Tap Save photo.
If you change your mind, tap Remove photo and your initial comes back.
How do I make the text bigger?
Go to Appearance. Under Text you will find a slider for text size — slide it right to make everything larger.
The same screen has Brightness if you prefer a lighter or darker screen, and a Highly readable font option.
How do I join a Life Group?
- Tap Life Groups.
- Read through the groups and find one that fits your schedule.
- Tap Request to join.
The group leader will be notified and will welcome you. The exact meeting address is only shared once you have joined, for everyone's privacy.
How do I RSVP to an event?
Tap Events & RSVP, find the event, and tap RSVP. If others are coming with you, enter how many people in total.
Changed your plans? Open the same event and change your response — no need to phone anyone.
How do I ask for prayer?
Tap Prayer & resources, write your request, and choose who may see it:
- Pastoral staff only — the most private option.
- Approved prayer team — a small group who will pray for you.
- My life group — only the people in your group.
You are always in control of who sees what you write.
How do I send someone a message?
- Tap People and find the person.
- Tap Add friend and wait for them to accept.
- Once they accept, tap Message to start a conversation.
Both people have to agree before messages can be sent. That keeps the community safe.
What are Moments and Stories?
Moments is a place to share photos with the church family, a bit like a scrapbook.
Stories are photos that disappear after 24 hours. A gold ring around someone's picture means they have shared something new.
Sharing is entirely optional — many people simply enjoy looking.
How do I put My Oasis on my home screen?
Look for Add My Oasis app in the menu and follow the prompt. This puts an icon on your phone so you can open it like any other app — no app store needed.
I am a Life Group Leader — how do I start a group?
Go to Life Groups. If a church administrator has made you a leader, you will see a Create a group button at the top.
Fill in the name, the day and time, and a short description. Put the general area in the public field and the exact address in the private field — the address is only revealed to people who have joined.
You do not need the staff workspace for any of this.
Is my information private?
Yes. In Settings & profile you choose what other members can see. Your address, phone number, and emergency contact are never shown in the member directory — only authorized church staff can see them, and only when caring for you.
Children's information is protected separately and never appears in profiles, posts, or messages.
