Global missions is nothing more than local missions outside your home environment, and ministry at home is the best preparer for and indicator of success overseas. We have numerous opportunities to get involved locally in missions. Below are some of the ministries Oasis loves.
The Mission
The Mission is a faith mission supported by freewill offerings and contributions of churches, groups, and individuals. The need of the work is constantly laid before God in prayer, and information concerning the work is circulated among God’s people. The Mission is open to everyone! They interact with a wide array of people representing diverse needs from all walks of life.
Youth For Christ
Youth For Christ is passionate about pouring the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ into the lives of Polk County children and families through a variety of events and opportunities.
The Refuge
In a community riddled by poverty and crime, The Refuge serves as a beacon of hope. The Inwood after-school program seeks to transform young people in the at-risk community into community leaders. The club has more than 100 children from third grade through high school, who are divided by age into four groups of between 25 and 30.
